Description

A fresh and aromatic Spanish white wine from D.O. Rueda, Ederra Verdejo is made with 90% Verdejo and 10% Viura, creating an easy-drinking wine with plenty of freshness and fruit.

The wine displays the characteristic aromas of Verdejo, with notes of mint and fennel, complemented by citrus and fresh white fruit such as pear. On the palate it is fresh, pleasant and smooth, with the Viura helping to soften Verdejo’s characteristic touch of bitterness.

The grapes come from selected vineyard plots at 700-800 metres altitude and are harvested mainly at night to preserve their aromatic character. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature before the wine is left on its lees to refine the mouthfeel.

Delicious enjoyed on its own and an excellent match for rice dishes, seafood, carpaccio and vegetables, including tempura and wok dishes. Best served chilled at 8-10°C.
