Description
A classic Manzanilla from Bodegas Baron, produced in Sanlucar de Barrameda from 100% Palomino Fino grapes and aged using the traditional criaderas and solera system.
Its distinctive character comes from biological ageing under a natural layer of flor, encouraged by the unique microclimate of Sanlucar de Barrameda at the mouth of the Guadalquivir River. The wine is aged for an average of 3-4 years in American oak barrels, developing the fresh, delicate character for which Manzanilla is renowned.
Pale straw in colour, Micaela Manzanilla has a clean and intense aroma with fresh, fruity notes and hints of dried grass. On the palate it is fresh and dry, with gentle bitterness, lively acidity and a pleasantly smooth finish.
Excellent served well chilled as an aperitif or paired with anchovies, cod, cured meats, cold Spanish soups such as ajo blanco and salmorejo, or sushi.
