Lodosa Piquillo Peppers

Whole Piquillo Peppers from Lodosa are small tangy chili peppers found only in the rural village of Lodosa in Navarra, a region close to La Rioja.  Rosara select the best Lodosa piquillo peppers DO (denominación de origen)

They are fire-roasted over beechwood and then hand-peeled and packed in their own juices.  The softness of flesh and characteristic sweet, slightly smoky flavour, with a subtle bitter finish, makes them a popular Spanish tapas.
