Avalon is a young, fruity and wonderfully refreshing Extra Dry Spanish cider from Sidra Trabanco.
Made from a carefully selected blend of bitter, sour and sweet apples, Avalon has been created as an easy-drinking cider, perfect for relaxed moments with friends and family.
Pale yellow with hints of old gold, it has fresh aromas of green apple with clean, balsamic notes. On the palate, the balance between acidity and sweetness makes it particularly refreshing, with a fine and persistent bubble.

Drinking this takes me right back to our holiday in Asturias. Be sure to pour it like a true escanciador to get the most out of it – you need to aerate it a little or you may find it a little sour or sharp. We had a lesson on how to pour properly: hold the glass at about 45 degrees slightly in front of or next to you at hip height, hold the bottle above your head and very slowly pour it into the glass so that it hits the edge of the glass and ‘breaks’ on it – this will aerate it. Only pour a small amount at a time (a culin) and drink immediately. To be a master, look straight ahead while pouring and never at the bottle or glass – best practised outside!
