Sobrasada is a soft chorizo type sausage – so soft, in fact, that it can be spread on bread or biscuits. It makes a great tapas and is often used in cooking (great with fried eggs).
Es Pages Sobrasada de Mallorca Embotits Monturir work is made using traditional methods, ingredients and using free-range Iberico pigs. Their philosophy is to produce products of the highest quality and not to rush production thereby allowing the natural flavours to fully develop.
These sobrasada are cured for up to 16 weeks, have a pleasing picante taste, and are best kept outside the fridge in a cool larder.
